Parents: Doesn't know much about his parents due to the fact that he was abandoned by them because he wasn't born with a crest, has two very loving adoptive parents; Misa Shioya and Hiroshi Shioya who he lived with in a small village in Faerghus
Siblings: Meyra Palledino; The leader of the Green Fox House (Fanhouse) she grew up in Adrestia with their actual parents. They accepted her due to the fact that she was born with a crest. They even wanted to marry her off but ended up both dying before they were able. Meyra doesn't have an ill perspective of their parents even if she didn't like the way they did things, especially with abandoning her brother. This is why they butt heads because Florian can't see them in any good light because of what they did to him, hence why he loves and appreciates his foster parents more.

Personality (Before Time-skip): Florian once he first gotten into the school it was very rough for him, he didn't have many friends growing up as a kid, he mostly was quiet and reserved while helping his foster parents. He usually helped his mother with the gardening or cooking, he was very good with gardening but not so much with cooking. His mother had always been more quiet herself while his father was quiet social with other townsfolk. His mother always wanted to create a flower business but was too busy with other housework and helping his father with their blacksmith business. He had promised his mother that one day they would create a florist shop together. He had helped his father with the blacksmiths business helping forge the weapons and gather materials. He had to work overtime and sell many weapons over the course of a couple years to be able to afford to get into the Academy. Once he had got there he had decided to go into the house of the Blue Lions where Dimitri had been leading, with his loyal retainer by his side, Dedue. Florian was intrigued and impressed on how they handled things in the house so decided to go with it. He is still trying to work on socializing more with his housemates due to him being more laid back and not sure how to interact with others that aren't regular customers or his parents. So he had spent most of his time in the garden, occasionaly going down to the marketplace to help forge weapons with the resident blacksmith. He has reunited with his long lost sister as she is the leader of another house that he isn't in called the Green Foxes, he is very social with her due to them needing to catch up for all the lost time, he is very protective of her. Florian would get invited to many social events by people in his house such as by Dimitri or Annette but always declined due to being too shy to interact. He is very self conscious of being judged or unliked for all the people in his house, and has a very hard time keeping a conversation. He is friendly when interacted with but after that he usually falls to his comfortable silence. He has also has noticed his Housemate Dedue while gardening and has grown a sort of admiration for him for all the hardwork he does for the flowers also how protective of everyone he is while in battle. Florian also is very stubborn, he is open minded to new things but also at the same time too scared to go through with them so he usually is stubborn in not changing his mind.
Personality (After Time-skip): After reuniting with the rest of his housemates after the hardships of the war he has learned more to open up with others in his house, he has been keeping in touch with a few of his housemates during the war to make sure they are in good health. He also had become more social like his foster father who had now since passed away due to fighting in the war, his mother is at least in good health but he was worried for her health so wrote her everyday. His sister was off with her own house fighting her own part of the war, he had been sending her weapons and a few supplies when he could. Once everyone was caught up with each other in his house he was heartbroken to see Dimitri become more numb and mad while in war because he had looked up to him, but now that he has gotten so cold and indifferent Florian is a little indifferent about him. He and Annette are more talkative and close now. Surprisingly he and Felix were now very good friends, they would sword fight together and they had this silent respect for one another, Florian would always fix all of Felix's blades when needed and would always surprise him with a new prototype weapon he had been testing out. Florian also was very sad when he had heard of Dedue's death trying to drown his sorrow in his work making weapons for the war, while occasionally visiting a garden he had planted in memory of Dedue. Hence when Dedue had finally returned from supposedly being dead he was beyond happy. Because of this he was in an constant debate to get closer to Dedue and finally tell him his feelings and how his admiration over the years had turned into love. Annette had told him to go for it, while Felix didn't really care for Dedue but knew that he made Florian happy so just told him to do whatever, This is still something he needs to do but will try and get the courage to do after the war is over. After the war he also wants to finally open a florist shop with his mother.

Physical/Mental Health: He is in very good physical health with all the hard labor he had to do when living at home, but he isn't the most in shape in his House, but he is pretty average built. His mental health is more closed off only trusting certain people due to his abandonment as a child. He is very open with family and close friends but otherwise he is very anxious towards others. He suffers from anxiety and struggles with self esteem but besides that he's mental healthy.

Other Important Information: Florian has a scar going across his nose from a accident with one of his adoptive fathers weapons as a kid; he was also born with a beauty mark below his lip. After the war he had two more visible scars on his face from fighting.
